Even new vehicles produced with the latest production techniques and outstanding skills under correct quality control can deteriorate in quality during storage, requiring proper maintenance and inspection suitable for the storage period.

This manual contains the minimum necessary requirements for protection of the new vehicles
against damage and deterioration during storage. The manual has been established to minimize the distributors' and dealers' expenses and customers' complaints that may result from inadequate storage.

1. Purpose 目的
This manual describes the minimum necessary requirements the distributor or dealer responsible for storage of new vehicles has to meet when storing new vehicles and is aimed at preventing quality deterioration of new vehicles during storage.
本手册介绍了经销商和二级网点在管理新车库存时需要采取的必要防护措施，从而防止新车 在储存过程中发生故障或零部件老化等问题。

Rinse vehicles with clear water as early as possible after their arrival to remove iron powder, dust, mud, etc. deposited during transportation.

●On wax coated surfaces, do not use tools such as a brush which would remove the wax coat. Rinse away deposits with clear water. Please use wax remover, for specification please refer to JAC’s service bulletin.

Even when vehicles are covered with snow, do not use a scraper which could cause damage.

For the vehicle with vinyl sheets on the body, remove them timely after arrival. The vinyl sheets will deteriorate during storage and become difficult to remove.
车身有防护膜时，车辆到达后应及时去除，防止库存过程中防护膜老化不易清除。
●. The areas where mud is readily collected, such as the reverse side of fender or areas under the body should be rinsed with special care.
对于车身上泥土易堆积的区域应当重点清洗，比如挡泥板处和车身底部。
On arrival of vehicles, check for defects, damage, missing parts, etc.

When performing checks, pay special attention to the following items, as they could spread or escalate during storage.
检查过程中，对于以下项目应该重点关注，防止缺陷在库存过程中进一步扩散或放大。

Particularly vehicles exposed to falling iron pieces, iron powder, rusty liquid or salt water during transportation should be thoroughly rinsed with clear water. Pay special attention to the coated surfaces or glossy parts such as plated moles which might have been damaged.

Vehicle should preferably be stored indoors. If they have to be stored outdoors for unavoidable reasons, select a

For inventory rotation, try to deliver the oldest vehicle in stock first.

4. Storage methods 储存方式
On vehicles in storage, do not make chalk, crayon and felt pen (magic pent) marks on the windshield glass, rear glass, door glass, body outer panels, etc. These could cause damage to the body, discolor the coated surfaces, and present problems such as stains hard to remove.
对于库存车辆，不要使用粉笔、蜡笔或记号笔在前后风挡玻璃、门玻璃、车身等位置做记 号，这样会对车身油漆造成损伤或褪色并且不容易擦除。
(1)Make careful parking position plans to make sure that when you move a vehicle, you don't have to move another.
(1)安排合理的车辆摆放位置，确保移车时不需要挪动其他车辆；
(2)Space one vehicle from another so that there will be 300 mm space before and behind each vehicle and enough space on both sides to allow the doors to be opened freely.
When you open a door, use special care to make sure that the edges of the door do not damage another vehicle.
(2)摆放车辆时确认前后两车之间的间隙为 300mm，左右两车之间的间隙应足够让车门自 由开启，
打开车门的时候应小心开启，防止车门的边角碰擦到旁边的车辆；
(3)To prevent problems such as failure of brakes to release due to brake linings stuck during storage or brake cables frozen during the cold season, keep the parking brakes released. For safety's sake, however, leave the transmission shift lever in the 1st speed position(or the position "P" on vehicles with automatic transmission).
(3)为防止寒冷季节车辆储存过程中制动线冻结或制动片卡死导致制动故障，保持驻车制 动处于松开的位置；

(1)During indoor storage, except in a hot, humid season, the door glass should be kept about 5 mm open. The ventilators should also be kept open. Steps should also be taken to maintain proper indoor ventilation to prevent the inside of vehicle from getting stuffy.

(3)During a hot, humid season, the door glass and ventilators of all vehicles, irrespective of whether they are stored indoors or outdoors, should be kept fully closed to protect the interior upholstery against mold. In this case, it is advisable to leave dehumidifiers on the front and rear seats.
(3)炎热潮湿季节时，不管车辆储存于室内还是室外，门窗和外循环必须全部关闭，防止

(4)Make sure that the fuel tank cap is fully closed.

When vehicles are stored in an outdoor place exposed to the strong sunlight, make sure that vinyl sheets are removed from the seats. When vehicles are moved, put paper covers on the seats to prevent contamination. When vehicles are to be stored for more than 30 days, the window glass and neighboring areas should be covered with

The seats are covered with vinyl sheets to prevent contamination. If the vinyl sheets are left alone, the heat from the strong sunlight could melt them into the seals. If this occurs, the vinyl sheets will be hard to remove. Make sure that the vinyl sheets are removed before storage.

Check to ensure that there are no coolant leaks from the cooling systems of vehicles on storage. To prevent problems that may be caused by frozen coolant, check to ensure that the coolant has a sufficient antifreeze concentration to prevent the coolant from freezing even under the expected lowest atmospheric temperature. If necessary, adjust to the proper antifreeze concentration or replace the coolant. The antifreeze concentration, however, must not exceed 60% (vol.).

Battery maintenance and inspection must not be neglected because the battery, even while not in use, makes

(1)On arrival of vehicles, check the battery condition and be sure to remove the ground (NEG) cable.

Be sure to use battery tester to test battery status.
使用蓄电池检测仪测量蓄电池电压；
Before connecting the battery tester, the vehicle shall be closed all electrical device, ensure that the battery stand for at least 5 minutes.
检测前，关闭整车电器系统并静置 4 小时；
If there is problem, the vehicle shall be taken charge /replaced the battery.
如存在问题需要给蓄电池充电或更换蓄电池。
(2)Take charge procedure

The minimum requirement voltage of battery is 12.4V.When the battery voltage is lower than 12.4V, the vehicle shall be taken charge promptly in constant voltage charging;

When the battery power is loosen,take charge with charging machine as the requirements of the charger for charging.If there is no charging machine,take charge in idle speed charge;

If the battery voltage is lower than 12.3V, use a small current (about 1A) to take charge first to eliminate lead sulfate from the plate surface. When filled about 50% of rated capacity,change into the constant voltage charging to achieve the purpose of recovery capacity.
对于电压小于 12.3V 的蓄电池，采用小电流（约 1A）充入的方式消除极板表面的硫酸铅， 当充入额定容量的 50%时，转入恒压充电，达到恢复容量的目的；
Battery in the open circuit condition, the voltage should not fall below 12.3V, otherwise there will be serious sulfuration, the charging can also refer to the above method. But the battery may not be fully restored after long time;
电池在开路状态下的电压值不应低于 12.3V，否则会造成严重的硫化现象。充电方法如以 上所示，但长时间放置后电池容量可能不能完全恢复。

On arrival of vehicles, clean grease, gravel, mud, etc. from the tries and inflate the tires to 20% higher than the standard pressures before storage to prevent flat spots that may otherwise occur during storage. During storage, the wheels should be turned a quarter of a turn to change the grounded positions at regular intervals. At the time of delivery inspection, adjust the tire inflation pressures to specifications
车辆到港后，清洗轮胎上的污渍、石子、泥土等杂质。将轮胎气压充至高于标准值 20% 防止停放过程可能造成的轮胎损伤，同时每隔一段时间移动轮胎来改变轮胎与地面的接触 位置。车辆交付检查时，将轮胎气压调整至标准值。

Make sure that the tires are on a dry, flat place. Visually check the grounded portion of tire at regular intervals. If under inflation is evident,

The wiper blades could be stuck or frozen on the windshield during storage. Remove them before storage, or keep them off the windshield.

(Note)备注：
If there are vinyl covers on the wiper arms and blades, remove them on arrival, as water drops could be collected in the covers and could cause rust formation.

When vehicles have to be stored outdoors for more than 90 days (or indoors for more than180 days), recommendation is to perform the following special procedures.
当车辆需要在室外储存超过 90 天（或室内储存超过 180 天）时，建议采取以下特殊防护 措施：

5. Periodic inspection 定期检查
Based on the separately fixed "Maintenance and Inspection Procedures for New Vehicles in Stock" (see Para. 9), check the vehicles in stock at regular intervals to retain the new vehicle quality.
为保障新车质量，可根据分类设定的“库存新车保养检查表”（见第七章）定期检查库存 车。

6. Steps to take against defects 故障处理
Defects found at an "acceptance inspection" and "periodic inspection" should be promptly corrected to prevent the defects from spreading.
车辆验收和定期检查过程中发现的问题需要迅速解决，防止故障扩散。
As described in the " WARRANTY POLICY PROCEDURE MANUAL", JAC has no obligation to repay the repair expenses for the following defects except those obviously attributable to defective manufacturing quality. For this reason, make sure that "acceptance inspection" and "periodic inspection" are strictly observed
按照“质保政策与流程手册”规定，除制造质量引起的缺陷外 JAC 不承担以下缺陷造成的 维修费用，所以应严格执行车辆验收和定期检查。
